Forefront of Research, our Commitment to Research and Innovation

Each year we invest significant resources and more than ten thousand hours of engineering work in research and development, building on decades of know-how and a portfolio of registered patents that confirm our role as a global reference in our field.

Innovation at the Core of TECNA

Our R&D team focuses on the entire ecosystem of resistance welding: from power sources, transformers and inverters to adaptive and digital control units, weld testers and measuring instruments. The goal is always the same: make high quality welding repeatable, traceable and independent from operator variability, so that the “perfect weld” becomes an industrial standard, not an exception.

Advanced Balancers for Demanding Environments

In parallel, we constantly refine and extend our balancer ranges, including ATEX, ESD and Food Industry lines, to increase ergonomics, safety and productivity in the most demanding applications. Dedicated R&D programs on materials, corrosion resistance, safety devices and long-life components allow TECNA balancers to work reliably in harsh environments, from automotive and general industry to food processing and electronics.

Digitalization and Smart Welding Solutions

Digitalization is a key pillar of our research. With solutions such as SENSUM, TECNA integrates advanced sensor technology, real time data acquisition and web-based interfaces that give users full visibility of the welding process and enable seamless connection with factory automation and quality systems.

This approach transforms each TECNA machine into an intelligent node inside the production line.

Co-creation with Customers and Partners

R&D at TECNA is not limited to our laboratories. Many projects are co-developed with customers, universities and technology partners, starting from real production needs and evolving into custom solutions that later become standard offerings.

This continuous dialogue with the market allows us to anticipate trends, shorten innovation cycles and deliver equipment that is ready for the future of automated, data driven manufacturing.
